![]() Coup de Grace is the final rune in the Precision tree that Nocturne loves. While Legend: Aclarity might sound like a good option, Legend: Bloodline is generally better because he needs the survivability from the lifesteal. Presence of Mind will cover his abysmal starting mana pool at 275, giving him mana generation upon damaging and taking down enemy champions. Lethal Tempo is his chief keystone that synergizes well with his bonus attack damage from his Q. Nocturne’s rune page should always further augment what he is good at, while compensating his weakness. His E is a delayed hard CC on a single target that further cements his chasing and dueling potential. The ability is both offensive and defensive, if one can time it right to block abilities like Teemo’s Q, Nocturne can easily turn the tide of a skirmish. ![]() Other kits in Nocturne’s arsenal also assists him in dishing out damage in the laning phase – he has a substantial attack speed steroids from his W, which is doubled if he blocks a hostile spell upon activation. The chasing potential and attack damage granted by his Q give him formidable dueling potential right at the early stage of the game, even against a ranged opponent such as Teemo and Quinn. Thanks to his passive and his Duskbringer (Q), Nocturne can either easily shove the wave, crashing it under the enemy’s tower – or engage on an unsuspecting opponent when combined with Lethal Tempo. Thanks to the more early aggressive jungle meta, Rift Scuttler skirmish has become more important, so are champions who can easily rotate for the fight. The chief reason for this is probably due to his strong level 1 engage AND wave clear, which gives him an easy top priority so he can rotate to Scuttle Crab to aid his jungler. He always has that Swiss Army Knife (get it?).According to op.gg, top lane Nocturn possesses an impressive win rate, standing over 55.55%, claiming the highest win rate among all top laners. Instead, I can only see Nocturne as Magyver. He's a god at 1v1s, pretty shitty teamfighter, 2 second clearspeed and a variety of Builds and runes that work, EVEN AP. Overall, I wouldn't say that Nocturne is really OP. I mean, you expect someone like yasuo (he's dead meat), or maybe a tank like garen (rlly?), or a lee sin top (WTF), or an AD caster like Aatrox (quite winnable), but nope! Literally all there is to it, it's just fiora, and probably ADCs, coz all they can do to destroy Nocturne is to relentlessly, and endlessly, poke him to death. Maybe you wanna try other runes that Legit One-shot, like Dark harvest, or A Lifesteal King with Conque- it's all up to you, honestly.Īnd finally, what are Nocturne's counters? We have Fiora.that's, that's it. As stated before, Nocturne is one of the most flexible champions, so if you wanna go assassin's one-shot build, go Electrocute with Duskblade, or if wanna go for the classic "Rapidfire" nocturne, go Lethal Tempo with that broken Sanguine Blade. Runes and Itemizations is pretty much personal preference. Once you gain level 6, Nocturne will no longer be a threat to splitpushers or squishies, coz a threat may kill you - Nocturne WILL kill you. Pre 6, it's hard for Nocturne to chase down enemies, except if they're the ones going after you. Ganking and Roaming for Nocturne is the sole reason to why he is so dangerous. It's better if Nocturne just cleans up the fight, rather than dashing headfirst into a 5-man team. With the right spellshielding of enemy skills, and proper engage, you can just go ham on pretty much, anyone.īut what about Skirmishes and Teamfights? Nocturne is a great skirmisher, as for a teamfighter? It's bad, like it would be suicide if you were the one to initiate a brawl. He's both a monster in jungle and in lane, with only little counters to screw him over.įor the Duelling, Nocturne is one of the best 1v1 duellists ever. ![]() Nocturne is IMO, one of the most flexible champions in the game. It's quick and dry, with Tiamat in the early game, Nocturne would be clearing cs and camps in a matter of 2 seconds. To explain his capabilities, there will be 7 categories: Clear Speed, Roles, Duelling, Skirmishing/Teamfighting, Ganking/ Roaming, Runes/Itemizations and Counters. I just saw that Nocturne has some really good buffs in aram and im planning to pick him in a 1v1 tournament a discord server I hangout in alot. CounterStats: Counter Picking Statistics for League of Legends. As a Noc main for 2 years now, I can safely say that he is "partially" OP.
